The Bedford Citizens Fire Academy Alumni Association (BCFAAA) is involved with
many community events. Listed below are a few of the events that we have been
involved with.
Bedford Fire Department Smoke Detector Program
The BCFAAA has been put in charge of coordinating the smoke detector program
for the Bedford Fire Department. The association schedules, helps implement the
program and assists the fire fighters with smoke detector testing and replacement.
Bedford 4th Fest
Volunteers from the association help staff the aid stations at the City of Bedford's
annual 4th of July celebration.
Fire Prevention Poster Judging
The local elementary schools have a poster contest for fire prevention. The
association assists the fire department with judging of the poster contest.
MDA Fill the Boot
The association volunteers help the firefighters with the annual fill the boot
campaign.
Fire Department Open House
The association traditionally helps with serving refreshments, bunker gear suit up,
fire hose spray, handing out event schedules, goodie bag distribution, and more.
